Things have been pretty busy the last several weeks, but thankfully we were able to squeeze in some time to visit our favourite little quaint town in the area. It’s a short drive to an out-of-the-way place, and it’s always a treat to go there, because all of the businesses do well at making it cozy and welcoming. In the summer they have the best iced teas, and in the winter the best lattes. Their decorations change with the season, and it’s very inviting to have a walk around. Our favorite restaurant has many items with locally-grown food and organic ingredients, and the taste never disappoints. Here are some pics to enjoy.

It has been a lovely warm day here on the prairies. It hit 5 degrees C today, so close to Christmas and almost no snow. We took a drive to a restaurant in a charming little country town. We had some delightful quesadillas, followed by a delicious eggnog latte. Hmmm this might become a Christmastime tradition!

Here at home, I have been very attentive recording the progress of Carmelita the Amaryllis. I had to turn her every couple days, since she likes leaning toward the light (I know I like the sunlight, so I can’t blame her!)  Here she is:

She is really coming along!
